Summary

A qualitative case study of adolescents who went through restorative practices in Honduras, with or without judicial intervention, based on the principle of restorative justice incorporated into the reformed Código de la Niñez y la Adolescencia. It seeks to understand the circumstances that led to the offence and the conditions that facilitated a restorative process. It brings together the views of justice staff, adolescents and victims, and reviews studies and laws. The author points out the difficulty of locating victims, owing to their fear of speaking. It is useful for those working in youth justice.
