Summary
An article that analyzes the incorporation of restorative justice into the sentence enforcement regime of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, based on the law enacted in 2025, and links it to the experience of the Conflict Prevention and Resolution Committees in the prisons of the province of Buenos Aires. It describes those committees as spaces for dialogue-based management of conflicts inside prison, centered on accountability, reparation of harm, and community participation; it reviews their background and institutionalization, and relates them to international human rights standards. It is useful for those who work in sentence enforcement and for teams seeking alternatives to the traditional disciplinary regime.
