Summary
First day of a training on restorative justice and adolescents in conflict with the law, held on 9 and 10 April 2024 for public defenders. It was organised by the defenders’ school of Ecuador and the technical institute of the public defence service of Paraguay, within the framework of the specialised meeting of Mercosur public defenders. After the institutional greetings, it discusses how to apply accountability through restorative justice when the adolescents come from unstable homes and have problematic substance use. It lasts more than two hours. It is useful for members of public defence offices in the region.
