Summary
A short article on mediation as a new way of achieving social pacification, written six years after its implementation in the province of Buenos Aires. It contrasts the culture that shows conflict as a fight with a view that understands it as an opportunity, lists the advantages of mediation (participation of the people involved, discovery of needs and interests, generation of options, transformation of relationships), and takes up, from a text by Forrest Mosten, a series of predictions about its future, such as the use of technology and the teaching of conflict resolution from school onward.
