Summary
A set of rules approved by the United Nations General Assembly in its resolution 40/33 of November 29, 1985. It guides the administration of juvenile justice in Member States and begins with a part on general principles. Rule 11 deals with the diversion of cases without formal trial, with the consent of the young person or their family, and provides for community programs such as restitution and compensation to victims.
