Summary
A monograph that examines judicial conciliation in depth in order to give judges theoretical tools for understanding this institution and managing conflict during proceedings. It is designed for cases in which prior conciliation, introduced by the Código Procesal Civil (Ley 439), did not achieve its aim. It proposes conflict management techniques that facilitate an agreement within the proceedings and links conciliation to the culture of peace. It is useful for judicial staff and for those training as conciliators in Bolivia.
