Summary
A human rights treaty adopted and opened for signature and ratification by the United Nations General Assembly in its resolution 44/25 of November 20, 1989, which entered into force on September 2, 1990. It recognizes rights for children and adolescents and obliges States Parties to respect them. The Spanish text, of 24 pages, includes a preamble and the regulation of the administration of juvenile justice. In Argentina it is in force through Law 23.849 and has constitutional rank.
