Summary
A commentary on a decision of Chamber III of the Cámara de Apelación y Garantías en lo Penal of Mar del Plata, which revoked the sanction imposed on a detained person in Penal Unit XV of Batán. The Servicio Penitenciario Bonaerense had sanctioned him and seized the technology equipment of the self-managed cooperative Liberté after he took part in an interview with TV Pública. The text reconstructs the case, the Chamber's arguments, which relied on the provincial protocol on the use of cell phones and devices, and its reach for the right to communication of persons deprived of liberty. It is useful for public defenders and sentence enforcement teams.
