Ley 27.801: Régimen Penal Juvenil

Summary

A national law that establishes the criminal regime applicable to adolescents from fourteen years of age up to the day they turn eighteen, when they are charged with an offense under the Criminal Code or special criminal laws. It was enacted on February 27, 2026 and published on March 9, 2026. It sets education, resocialization, and social integration as its purpose, applies the Criminal Code in a supplementary way, repeals Law 22.278, and enters into force one hundred eighty days after its publication.
