Summary
An article that sorts out concepts often confused in the adolescent criminal justice system: socio-educational intervention, socio-educational measure, and socio-educational purpose, as against restorative practices. It warns against equating those practices with socio-educational measures, assimilating restorative justice to the restitution of rights, or confusing the roles of those who intervene, and specifies what the restorative approach contributes to work with adolescents in the criminal field and what is specific about it. It is useful for technical teams and for practitioners in the juvenile criminal courts who incorporate restorative practices into their work.
