Summary
A case study in a private school in Lima of the project Club de Mediación Escolar y Liderazgo, aimed at preventing bullying and training student mediators, run online during the pandemic and in person afterwards. Using semi-structured interviews and document analysis, it gathers the perceptions of teaching managers and secondary school students. It concludes that the club strengthens social skills such as empathy, assertiveness and active listening, and that it contributes only partially to leadership. It is useful for teaching and management staff implementing peer mediation.
